Gares & Connexions, SNCF’s business in charge of the management and development of France’s 3,000 railway stations, has called on Indigo to build the new car parks for the extension of the Bordeaux Saint-Jean Belcier station which will house the HSR.

More than 1,600 spaces have been created in latest generation car parks, designed as service hubs, transition areas and living spaces open onto their environment, and connected. Indigo has conceived car parks adapted to the challenges of the station and the surrounding neighbourhood.

The new car parks will be able to hold an increasing number of vehicles and travellers. Indigo’s expertise has enabled it to rationalise the capacities of the car park offering around the station but also to model changes in the traffic and frequentation rate. These shared car parks respond to the specific uses of travellers and the residents of the neighbourhood.

In response to the local community’s wish to contain the flow of vehicles in the neighbourhood, the car parks are directly connected to public transport, buses and tramways, in the town. Indigo also proposes access to alternative modes of transport, which give precedence to eco-mobility, and soft transport: car-sharing, car pooling, rental of electric power assisted vehicles, self-service electrical recharging terminals and space for bicycles.

New information services help users to design their mobility to suit their requirements. Interactive terminals will deliver information on request in real time on the soft mobility solutions available in the car park but also on the other modes of transport in the town (time-tables, traffic, etc.). Using the multimodal route planner, you can calculate your route and compare the solutions available according to criteria of duration, price and CO2 emissions Via the Park Indigo smartphone application and the website, users can reserve their parking space and anticipate the remainder of their itinerary thanks to the real time information on the car park.

Prices adapted to customer typology are implemented (short or long stay parking, parking passes), as well as a remote payment system using cards.
