A city endowed with a rich heritage and a forward-looking port, Dieppe wishes to continue to attract both tourists and investors. To usher in the renewal of the city centre, Indigo is modernising the supply of parking spaces to facilitate mobility while at the same time improving the quality of the living environment. This vast project concerns the modernisation of paid on-street parking. It aims, in particular, to offer services for camping car enthusiasts at the two car parks (Quai de la Marne and Front de Mer). An underground car park was created in collaboration with a landscape architect as part of an urban redevelopment operation: the forecourt of the City Hall was thus reclassified and the esplanade reserved for pedestrian use. Three car parks (Espace de la Barre, Saint Jacques, and La Plage car park) were renovated and equipped with, inter alia, terminals for recharging electric vehicles.
Throughout the duration of the works, Indigo proposed a communication plan to the city to keep the residents informed: the exterior of the worksite was covered in information panels, worksite newspapers were disseminated at the various stages and meetings were organised for the attention of local residents.
By bringing parking into a modern mobility service offering, Indigo and the City of Dieppe intend to facilitate movements which are factors of economic vitality while at the same time preserving a pleasant living environment for the residents.
