A successful year for Indigo Canada !

CANADA 2

The previous year was a good one as far as developing the national footprint of Indigo Canada goes. In 2017, concerted effort from sales, operations and marketing teams resulted in 84 new contracts being concluded nationwide: 73 management or lease contracts, 8 consultation mandates and one contract to implement business intelligence and the Indigo BI solution.

A collective success and one that is shared with the seven provinces in which Indigo operates and of which the following major or strategic savings have been made:

  • Setting up the BI recommendations, analyses and system at Pearson international airport in Toronto, the largest Canadian airport with more than 48 million passengers in 2017. This new component of our mandate consolidates the business relationship with the airport’s governing authority for which Indigo manages all of the 25,000 parking spaces, the valet services, car-washing services, etc.
  • The management of the two car parks at the new Place Bell multi-purpose sports facility in Laval, Quebec which features a 10,000-seat main arena and a 2,500-seat Olympic size ice rink;
  • The new car park for the new emblematic office block in the centre of Montreal, the “Maison Manuvie” features 27 floors and was inaugurated on 27 November 2017.
  • The consolidated provision of personnel and the introduction of controlling the 5,000 parking spaces, using vehicles with embedded number-plate recognition readers, for the Cité Desjardins in Lévis, a world-class office space for the Quebec region which brings together more than 5,500 workers on a daily basis.
  • The expansion of the “Jockey Valet” service to new hospital campuses in Ottawa, and the appointment of a general supervisor devoted to the hospital in order to increase Indigo’s mandate in 2018 for the partial or complete management of car parks on various campuses.
  • The effective management since last summer of the 1,250 parking spaces in eight Carewest health centres in Calgary;
  • The two consultation mandates for the cities of Halifax and Dieppe in the Atlantic Canada for car parks and off-street parking.

At the end of 2017, Indigo Canada had 780 contracts, totalling 225,000 spaces from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast.
