Self-service, station-free bike-sharing from Indigo: a local solution which complements existing modes of transport

Indigo’s expertise now covers bikes. The need for alternative and sustainable solutions for taking up transport-related issues in order to facilitate everyday mobility is a real challenge. Requiring no investment from cities and proving to be economical for users, self-service, station-free bike-sharing is the new environmentally-friendly, practical and easy-to-use mode of transport.

A BIKE AVAILABLE IN FEW SECONDS

Thanks to the application, the user can geolocalise the bike and then unlock it with a flash code. Once the ride is over, the bike can be parked in designated areas indicated in the application and the user just have to push the lock downwards to lock the bike.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES: A TRANSPARENT APPROACH

A joint control with the city Council
• Validation of the number of bikes made available
• Validation of the areas to cover
• Presentation of key contacts from the Indigo organization
An active regulatory role

• Parking : the App will inform users of the allowed parking areas. A loyalty program will be set up to favour good cyclists (Geofencing)

• Regulation with daily bikes made available on certain strategic locations (universities, public transports hubs, touristic locations…)

A successful local integration

• Collaboration with the city cyclist community

• Formation and rehabilitation programs for mechanics and regulation staff

A team available 24/7

• To maintain the fleet and intervene to regulate it. This team will be made of professionnal from the bike industry as well as from local associations

• To offer users’ driving courses, alert them on the fety issues related to riding bikes in urban areas as well as parking rules

• A call center available 24/7
